Slide.com Integration

Slide.com is a tool that is, in its very nature, is fun to use and powerful as well - in that it puts images in front of people, whether it is for personal use or business use. I have integrated it here to show logos of companies that will be using our services once our site launches.

Images are core to our business, as we use company's logos in a business directory, whereby every company can be on the front page in their respective category. Compare that to the yellowpages.com, there is no more having to dig down to page 5 or whatever to find the business you were looking for in the first place. With what we are developing, you will be able to see the company's logo on the front page, recognize it much faster, and still have all the key functionality to be able to contact them for whatever it is you need.

Current LogoNav Logo

This is our current logo. As I said before, a logo is an interesting thing. When we first started out this venture, there was a lot to get done, i.e. build a website with new and interesting functionality, and build a company around that. We hired a firm to do this for us (the website part), and we thought they understood what we wanted, as they seemed as excited about the idea as we were. However, 4-5 months later, we are starting all over again, with exception of perhaps this logo...

When I say a logo is an interesting thing, I mean that it represents a lot. If done correctly, it represents the image of a company, in more ways than one. For us, we wanted the look and feel of the Web 2.0 era, but at the same time something that provides brand recognition. Does this logo do it, time will tell...
